I bet everyone here knows how to decrypt a DVD, but can anyone tell me how to encrypt a home movie for a DVD-R (or if it is not possible)?

Either type of DVD-R media can be used for DVD video authoring.CSS encryption cannot be used with either type of DVD-R media.

DVD-R General Purpose

DVD+R doesn't handle css encryption but ppl believe that the firmware on a dvd+ burner can be hacked in order to write css info on the lead-in area.

Thank you, Matador, for your reply. I was pretty much thinking that it wasn't going to be easy, and I'm betting that that particular firmware patch is not high on anyone's list. I'll just have to settle for making non encrypted DVDs
