I have created a short video and want to share with my friends on their mobile phones. But I can?t get to convert it to 3GP format. Can someone recommend a software that does so?

I cant provide many links, but ill try to find one, its called Super Converter, it might work, I don't know though.

I use it convert videos for use on my Zen.

You may check http://www.3gpconverters.net which provides 3GP Video Converter which is powerful, useful and so easy to use.
