Hi-ya everyone ... first time poster here ...HELP!!! =)
I've had trouble burning several movies...I'm getting a burn failed error from Nero 6.
"#31 Phase 38 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 273. Burn process failed at 16x (22,160 KB/s)"
My process is RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, Nero.
My burner is a SAMSUNG SH-S202G and my media is RiDATA 16x DVD+R.
My boyfriend and I use the same drives, media & process, we just have different drive connections (SATA vs IDE), yet he has no burning issues and I do...
Any thoughts on what the issue might be?
Your input is greatly appreciated!!
Many thanks! Miss Liz

I tried a couple more things and I'm still having issues burning.
I tried updating to Nero 7, that didn't help.
And I tried using a different type of media, Memorex DVD+R, and that didn't work either.
Here's the entire process list from Nero ...

hi :)
Quote: Nero API version: 7.0.0.0
Using interface version: 6.3.1.4
it looks as if you have installed 7 over 6 . uninstall nero with nero's clean tools. (saving your serial no. first, if you lose it ask me for it now i know it from your log.) which you should delete
then reinstall the version of your choice
Quote: Disc Manufacturer ID: RICOHJPN, Media Type ID: R03,
these disc's i believe are 8x speed
Quote: Burn process started at 16x (22,160 KB/s)
Quote: Burn process failed at 16x (22,160 KB/s)
even if the disc's were 16x...burning at 8x would have been better
having said that the ro3 likes 6x rather than 4x
Quote: 5:15:34 PM #31 CDR -1502 File Writer.cpp, Line 302
DMA-driver error, CRC error
F: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S202G
i'm not sure but i think this is trying to say your trying to burn a 8x disc at 16x
i can't check if your firmware is up to date because the site i use is down at the moment

we cant help if you wont help yourself
