Q: DVDRW IDE 16X

Have you tried another brand of disk (Verbatim for choice) in place of the CMC that you are burning?
Failing that try cutting back the burn to 4x.

Also, there is a drive listed as a BTC, but there is a note that says

"Detected as DVDRW-IDE 16X" with newer firmware.

I see Roxio,
Roxio Zap will get rid of that, sometimes Roxio and Nero don't mix in some instances.

Try updating to the latest Nero 7, version 7.10.1.0
available here.

This may help.

You've got the good ones. Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim are the best, not sure where you can get the good stuff over there, try PM'ing Creaky as he is in your neck of the woods I believe.
