BackItUp restoring .nba files problem

Made an encrypted backup spanning 5 DVDs and the backup failed on the last disk and did not write the *.nbi file to the last disk.

Googled the problem and it was suggested to try a restore of the .nba files from the command line (Doesn't work, BackItUp just sits there):

backitup.exe /NEW:restore /PATHLIST:"D:\2*;"

Tried renaming the .nba files to .zip and opening with Winzip 11.1 but Winzip doesn't recognize the encryption password used in the backup!

Any suggestions for getting my data back from the .nba files?

I searched the forum for answers but found none, so apologies if this has been covered already.
