I can't offer a solution, but I suspect a change of brand will remedy the problem.
I have been working through a tub of 'Made in Japan' Maxell DVD's that my LG burner has problems with.
It often takes a couple of tray recycles before the disk is accepted (I can tell from the burner LED whether or not the disk is acceptable).
With Nero, I always insert the disk before running the program, otherwise it ends in tears.

Have you tried another brand of media, just to be sure whether if it's the media to be blamed or your burner or whatsoever. If you see another brand of media works well, then you know that you may have got a bad batch, which happens time to time but mostly and more frequently with cheap quality medias. You can return the media to the place you have pruchased it and ask for a replacement or refund. But my advice, use quality medias like taiyo yuden or verbatim, they won't dissapoint you.It seems that datawrite outsource their media from different manufacturers and one of them is cmc mag, which has quite a bad reputation. While buying these kind of medias, you can't really know in advance your media is from which manufacturer, that's the worst part. But with quality medias, you won't need to worry about that.Just my two cents:)

Ive used different media in the past which worked and ive just changed to this media. Ive swapped and changed my nedia in the past and its never been an issue. Ive tried 3 different tubs and non will write. Ive bought 300 you see so im gonna lose out if they dont work. If nero will read them and test them why wouldnt they work with clonedvd? Are there any other tests i can do to diagnose a potential problem?

It says verbatim on this pic when i did the test?
cheers

ok you cant oh well sooooooooo................
Ive spent money and lost, so what to do now?! I reckon i should buy a new Dvd writer with up to date firmware in order to write to these discs. So my last one cost bout £20. So whats the next best i can get after my pioneer dvr 110 that will write to these crappy discs?

i refuse to let any Datawrite near my machines anymore, but it would be worth finding out exactly which ones they are (surely they're catered for in the Pioneer's firmware)
edit- i changed the original posters' pics to links as the pics weren't displaying correctly/throwing the pages out

sanecrazy,
There have been numerous claims about Pioneer DVD burners (Pioneer 110, even WITH LATEST FIRMWARE being one of them), not performing up-to-par when writing data with these type of media, Datawrite. They (Datawrite) are more supported by TSSCorp and other writers. On contrary, others said that they work just fine and haven't encountered any problems, and had successful burns with minimal coasters. Reading your posts on this thread, I'm inclined to think that you have yet to try different media. That's the only direction I see, since you've tried the same media on two different burners and stumped with the same issue.
Pardon me if my post is a little off tangent as I can't view the pictures on your first post. I'm currently at work :)

Ok i tried burning a data disc with nero and that worked so I guess the media is ok. I started with scratch with my clonedvd abd it worked. Thought everything was gonna be ok but its started doing it again! CloneDVD ripps the disc and then fails at 0% and makes a coaster.
I have noticed tho that media player 11 will no longer play DVDs on my PC. It says somthing about i need to adjust my settings and lower my resolution. They played the other week so whats changed? Im starting to suspect that this is somkind of software issue or set up issue.
I downloaded vlc media player and dvds play on that but still not on media player 11.
update -----
downloADED shrink to see if that would work. Opened the ripped files that clonedvd saved in the temp folder and used shrink to burn them and it worked. So is this problem with clonedvd?
ANd now its failed AGAIN!!
I saved the log tho

It could just be a codec issue. Get GSpot to find out what codecs are needed to play the movie. As for your burning issue, update your burner firmware to V1.22.
