Can someone help me with my Action Replay DS it doesn't have the add cheat option on the code manager and I dont want to put in very long codes by hand

It sounds like you just have the old version of the software.

If that is the case, you have 2 options:

1. Use the current version. You should be able to cut and past codes you find on the net or that someone sends you into a .xml document opened or created in a text editor like Wordpad. Then just drop and drag.

2. Upgrade the software. Connect it to the Action Replay Code Manager PC application (that came with your Action Replay) then click the ‘Software Upgrade’ button.
