MCCRASH, need help with my 8801 phone. I purchased this thru t-mobile and so far they sent me the unlock code twice, and I tried almost 5 times and all times it failed with message - "cannot undo restriction". They even asked me try all the steps by inserting a foreign SIM card (like Cingular) in the phone.. I tried that as well.

This is the unlock code I got from them:
#pw+878741101063224+1#

I see that your unlock code ends with a +7# instead of +1# ?? Am I supposed to press 7# instead of 1# ?

Thanks, MCCRASH. Strange thing is that I got that message the first time I tried itself. Does this mean T-Mobile sold me a lemon ? I am not sure how I can convince them that they sold me a returned piece by some other customer. Its a premium phone and I paid a premium price for that to T-Mobile...
MCCRASH, is there a way take this lock off by any other mean ?

Try to ask T-Mobile about your phone,i dont know, was your phone hardlocked before or not.
About other way to unlock-read link above.Only direct unlock with hard-software.
But better try first to read with T-Mobile.
