If any people wouldn't mind, I would love some advice on buying a printer/copier/scanner all-in-one thing. I was looking on walmart.com and saw these (list) 123456 which seemed quite cheap to me so I thought I might as well buy one now while they're so cheap. I just plan on using it for regular stuff (nothing fancy) but I want to choose the one that scans stuff the best (at a high quality - I don't want one that will show green lines on the scan - do you know what I mean?). I also would like to choose one that does not use only extremely expensive ink cartridges, if there even is a difference in the price of different cartidges :)
So please give me any suggestions or advice on where I should look for one or a specific one I should buy. Thank you for any help! :)
Also, what does this mean: "600 DPI scan resolution, 600 DPI copy resolution Scans and copies at high enough DPI resolution so that your documents can get through a couple generations of being scanned and printed "
does it damage a document in some way to be scanned?
some people say the multi cartridge (as opposed to color and black) are better
ie: 02 series in hp where they use like 8 cartridges and you buy only the color thats out ... they cost like $8/cartridge instead of $25
any outlet (like Staples) should let you print a demo
and no scanning doesnt damage anything unless some caveman made it pre-hobbit
i think what they mean is transfering from one media to another over and over,,, the higher the DPI the more you can afford to loose in image integrity but youre not running a museum..are you?
No museum here ... I'm just gonna be scanning pics and regular stuff probably.
I'll try to find out how much the cartridges are before I pick the printer. Thank you for the info. :)
One more question for anybody - with these all-in-one printer,copier,scanners - does that mean I will be able to put a piece of paper in a tray and it will take it and scan it and spit it out and then make the copies like a really expensive office copier does, or I will only be able to make copies by putting the original under the lid and then it scans it to make a copy. do you know what I'm talking about?
Ok I've narrowed it down to these 3:
A "Scan Resolution Optical: Up to 600 dpi; Hardware: Up to 600 x 2400 dpi; Enhanced: Up to 19200 dpi"
B "Scan resolution:
Optical: Up to 600 dpi
Hardware: Up to6 x 2400 dpi
Enhanced: Up to 19200 dpi"
C "Scan resolution:
Optical: Up to 1200 dpi
Hardware: Up to 1200 x 1200 dpi
Enhanced: Up to 19200 dpi"
But I stll can't determine which one scans the best because I don't understand the dpi numbers since they vary from high to low, so if anyone could please let me know which one appears to be the best scanner I would appreciate it a lot!!
