im trying to finalize my disk on a canon dc-100 and it wont let me does any one have any suggestions?[b][/b]

Read the owners manual, and if you did that and still can't finalize the disc, contact Canon.

On my cannon I have to have it plugged in for it to work.
Also on mine I have to hit the function then flick the mode switch and finalize will be highlighted.
