s-video cable confusion

I have a 7 pin s-video cable that i connected to my tv. yesterday it displayed color on the tv and today it is only black and white can someone please help

first I would check the cable and make sure you did not bend anything and try a new cable

i took a look and tried a new cable but it is still the same....I am getting color on the laptop but I am getting only B/W on the TV. I have widows XP and i think maybe there is somthing with the way the S-Video port is set up on the computer but i dont know how to get to the Port properties.

If it was working and then stopped and you did not change any settings your graphic card my have died if you don't have a card your graphic is on your mother board you might need to get a new graphic card But check your setting go to control panel to appearance and themes to display to settings from there set the pixel slider to at least 1024 x 768 with 32 bit color and there you can run troubleshoot

That happens to me alllll the time. Just wiggle it a little and it should come back. Or you might have to push it up, down, left, right, whatever helps.
