I have used Nero to get a video_TS of the movie "Transformers". Now I am trying to burn it onto a CD with nero recode 2, but after the advanced analysis part I get the same error with this movie, "failed to read from the file %s" . I have burned another movie using Nero Recode 2 (mr beans holiday) and it worked 100% well.
Anyone know what the problem is? Any help is appreciated! Thank you very much :)

What will DVD FAB Decrypter do? I didn't rip the movie from a DVD I bought, I downloaded a torrent and it came as a .avi, and used Nero to make it into a video_ts.
I don't know what DVD FAB Decrypter is, if you could tell me it would be great :p
Well for what you're doing DVDFab won't help. I've seen this error when trying to rip from an original dvd so you're problem is a little different. That's here DVDFab would come in - if you were ripping from an original DVD.
Try using DVD Shrink instead of Recode - very similar - same developer. Shrink will use Nero to burn - just pick your burner. Here's a guide
Ok since this file is coming from your hard drive getting a CRC error there is not a good thing - there could be a problem w/ hard drive.
But might also just be a problem w/ the file.
So a couple of things - try transcoding the file again w/ Nero or use DivXtoDVD and then use Recode.
Now these are good to do anyhow.
1st do a disc cleanup then a disc defrag.
Now do a chkdsk. This may take awhile depending on how big and filled up the hard drive is and if there are errors. Here's a guide
