So, I recently started putting together my first home theater and I need some help getting a few things set up. I already have my projector, it is a InFocus SP5000. I got it from one of my friends for $300, so I couldn't complain. Now I am trying to decide on a screen and a screen size. Currently I am thinking about a 100"-110" screen, but I didn't realize how many other choices there were. Things like Screen Gain, material type, electric or manual pull-down, I am just getting really really confused at what I need. So, here are the details and hopefully some of you can help me figure out what type of screen and stuff I need.

Room Dimensions and Limitations

Height: 8 foot
Width: 12 foot
Length: 30 foot
Viewing Distance: 12 foot
Lighting: Four small windows (1' wide x 4' tall) with blinds and I may add curtains (two behind screen area, two to the side). One sliding glass door(6' wide x 7' tall') at back of room with curtain.

Projector Details

Brand: InFocus
Model: SP5000
Output: 1100 lumens
Contrast: 1200:1
Resolution: 720p

Alright, anything else you need to know to help then ask. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi, electric screens are nice, but $$$. For a projector as yours and in a room with windows ( letting light in, I might suggest a scren with as high a reflctivity as possible. Check out Stewart Filmscrens as the Firehawk. Contact them in southern California if possible for the best advice, or you need to contact an A/V installer.
