I have a Compaq V2321US with a Quanta 3093 47.OD motherboard and AMD ML-30 processor.

Does anyone know what the fastest AMD mobile processor this machine will support and if there is anything special required to make it work?

Thanks

This is a laptop right? If it is, then don't bother changing the cpu. Really the only things you can swap in a laptop are ram, the hard drive and screen. Laptops are built around 1 type of cpu, and therefore all of the architecture and design of it has gone into the size, airflow, etc of the case to house that heat sink and deal with the heat of that particular cpu.

So, basically you're out of luck. Sorry!

This is a laptop. I thought that the MB might also support the ML-37 AMD processor. (Same Family and can purchase for <$100)
