All the movies I have are downloaded from torrents and come in the form of .avi. I use Nero to change these into video_ts.

I was wondering if I need to or if it is neccessary to use VOB Blanker for FixTVS on the video_ts before I encode with Nero?

Is it possible to do so? What is the advantage or do I even need to do it? Are there any differences between the two programs?



Any help is appreciated ! :)

Load the avi into Nero Vision, create a menu(or don't), make sure you choose 2 Pass in video options, and then tell Nero to burn to your hard drive. Then use ImgBurn to burn the VIDEO_TS folder onto a good quality blank DVD, Verbatim are one of the best, but Sony is very good as well and slightly cheaper.

In short you do not need VOB Blanker or FixTVS.

Why not just do the whole process using NeroVision...check the guide by alkohol in my sig.

No it would actually decrease the quality. You may not actually see it for your self with the naked eye.

Because I think ImgBurn does a better job of burning espically on DL media.
