Best Buy TDK DVD+Rs on sale but are they OK to use?

While in Best Buy for the Sony DVD-Rs I found TDKs DVD+Rs (Made in Malaysia)for sale for $9.99. They code out as DAXON AZ3. Are these worth $10 or what?

Long before i discovered this forum, i, too, found TDK on sale at BB. i gave it a try, within a week, when i wanted to watch those DVDs, I noticed during playback, it would skip around. Fast forward about 2 years, I went back and coded those discs and sure enough, they were CMC MAG.

Therefore, avoid it. Yes, CMC may be better now than it was before but why chance it? You know Verbs and TYs are quality discs so just stick with them.

Verbs go on sale often. I just picked up a 100 pack for $24.

I know that CMC is crap but what is this Daxon AZ3? I've burned two or three already and so far so good. I'll have to run one through Nero to check. Guess it's back to Best Buy for Sony DVDs. Is there a difference between the Sony +Rs and the -Rs?

Guess I better run out to Best Buy and get a package of the Sony DVDs. Please say that they are OK! I hate shopping now. People are truely crazy. Last time I was out at Best Buy they had a shipment of that game Wii and people were knocking each other to get to them. There's nothing worse that a Mom on a mission! Now there's a 'war' zone.... That could be the next TV show. Have Moms battle for the game! I can just see all the blood and gore. All the makings of a prime time tv show...

For a 100 pk,it's a good deal. Not for a 50 pk.

Sony are very good in the 8x and 16x speed. I've burned 1000's and still over a 99+% success and no playback issues.

People are still fighting for those WII's in my area. I got a buddy looking for one,so I have to keep an eye out for them.The monday after black friday,do you believe people were lined up at my local walmart for a shipment of WII's that they were expected to arrive? Amazing!!!

I picked up some Office Depot's brand name 100 pks for $18 per 100 pk. Good ole Ricohjpn and ritek made OD brand name for 18 cents each.
