Hi guys,

I need some help picking between these two graphics cards, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130303 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127311

One is an MSI and one is an EVGA. They are both 8800gt overclocked, however, the MSI says it has some shader OC technology but reviews says it runs a little hot. Any help would be great.

Thanks

I'm lusting after a pair of the EVGA 8800GT cards for my SLI setup. You are doing the right thing reading as much as you can. You will have to make a decision based on your planned usage, overclocking, case cooling and budget.
I like both the cards you selected, I know I'd get the EVGA. Not just because of the shader, I like the folks at EVGA and their fast response to questions I've had.

Both EVGA and MSI make good quality stuff, I'd be happy to have either. All 8800GT cards run hot, not just the MSI ones. Graphics cards run hot by their nature though, it shouldn't be anything to worry about.
