Can't get full widescreen with DVD playback on HTPC

Hi there,

I can't seems to view full widescreen on my 32" LCD when I play original (full screen or widescreen format) on my HTPC. I used ATI/WM/Nero/PowerDVD player, but still unsucessful. I selected full screen on the pull down menu, I have tried many differnet settings on LCD as well as softwares but I still could not get a full widescreen view, but my desktop is in full screen with 1366x768 (?) resolution. Am I missing something? pls help. Thanks in advance

my system:
Thermaltake core 2 duo 2.4ghz
ATI x1900 AIW
Acer 32" LCD connected to PC via DVI
