After reading a magazine today and it saying that you can save VC games to a SD card if you run out of space, it got me thinking that there must be a way to download these from 'other' sources and them use them on the Wii. Is this possible at all?

i dont think it is possible as i am sure each of these games is "tied" to the wii it was downloaded onto

actually if the game saves as one file then it wouldn't hurt to compare a fresh download of lets say Super Mario from 2 different wii consoles in Hex Workshop. The games may use your wii ID or serial number as a code which could easily be changed via a patch. i wont go too far cause i don't support pirating and dont want to get banned. This is simply how i would first approach it.

I'm sure Ninty has thought of other means to stop these games of getting distibuted.
Anyway: there's an iso going around with numerous (I think it's about 600) "Virtual Console" games. Actually it aren't Virtual Console games but it are emulators and ROMs. Should be satisfying I suppose. Haven't tried it yet though.
