Name of Game : Devil May Cry 3 : SE
Game Region (PAL/NTSC) : ntsc
Media Make :tdk
Media ID: not sure :/
Disc Max Speed : 16x
Speed of Burning: 8x
PS2 Modification: swap magic using gs 1.4
PS2 Version (V1-Vx): not sure :/ bought off of a friend
Game acquired : downloaded
Rebuilded: no
Burning Software : nero 6

Problem: The game won't boot up at all. It just gets stuck at the now loading screen of the gs.

Are you booting Swap Magic.elf from your gameshark?
Do you have to maybe do a TOC refresh perhaps to get the game to play, putting in a larger Original game then your backup.
What Region PS2 is yours, the same NTSC as your game. To check your version of PS2, look at the back of your PS2. There should be a label like this:
