Downloaded an avi but when trying to extract with winrar it wants a password. Where do I find that?

Where ever you downloaded it from should list the password.
Sometimes it's the name of the website that hosted it.

You can try this site and see if it helps - link

Oh and I edited the post and removed the name - really not needed.

Check where you downloaded it from - it should be listed.

If not then download it again from another source - the one you have just might be bogus.

charlie28 it is allways a good thing to read the comments that other people leave about the file that you are downloading, one other thing i would use a different site for your movie files, there are plenty of sites that don't pasword protect there files, good luck

Very often, these passworded RAR files that you get from P2P are fakes. You go to a website and "register" by giving your email address, while you are there you pick up a bunch of adware/malware/trojans etc, and the file is garbage. Plus you get spam forever in your email inbox.

There is very little point in putting an AVI file in a RAR file. I always avoid them.
