The Witcher....stuck at loading screen!!!

so i just got the witcher and the game loads up the cutscene works i start a new game and it goes to the loading screen and.......nothing happens it just stays on loading screen i read that their is supposed to be a little red loading line at the bottom but i dont have thst just stays on loading... i have a great asus mother board 2 gigs of ram an nvidia 7800 GTX i have the latest version of direct x im pretty sure i have the latest nvidia drivers maybe i should redownload them i dont know i was just wondering if anybody else has had this problem and fixed it... ty
