i mainly use verbatiums for my burning needs but its a little pricey at times. I wanted to get some feedback or recommendations on alternatives. I will continue to use verbatim for my important things that will get regular useage, but i wanted to get some reliable cheap dvd+r dl media for things which may only be viewed once or twice. thanks in advance for your input.

Ritek is the only other DL media I would recommend . If you find memorex DVD+R DL it codes out as Ritek also

"reliable cheap dvd+r dl media"

Sounds like an oxymoron to me. If you are only going to view the movie once or twice just rent it and watch it. No need to buy and backup.

Verbatim DLs are expensive, but if you catch them on sale (which they often are), they're very cheap. They don't go on sale every week, but depending on how many you have, just stock up on some to hold you over until the next sale.

By the time the next sale happens, I'm gonna need to refill.

wow the least expensive I've seen Verbatim DVD+R DL is about 1.70 , I wouldn't call that very cheap lol. maybe less expensive would be the better term
