iTouch (URGENT!) - Where are Contacts stored/ How to Transfer from Machine to iTouch

Hi,
I am fairly new to the iTouch. The music part - no problems..
But I am trying to transfer a Selection of my contacts to my iTouch without success. It seems it's all or nothing. It uploaded all my 5000 contacts... I have to strip the machine to get them off. I have a list of about 20 that need to go on the iTouch (Tonight....)

I have tried changing the 20 into VCards. I have uploaded fine but cannot find them on the iTouch. None of the files

I have tried 'Touch Copy' programme but cannot find the files... can someone please help!!!!
