Hi, I have my SIMS Delue Edition downloaded in my computer, XP. When I decided to use it again, somehow the game would load when I click start. It would go through the whole neighborhood and calibrating. And then it would go back to the desktop. No error messages or nothing. Only a black screen on the corner and the it would disappear to show the full desktop screen. Since it wouldn't work right, I decided to unintall using the add/remove programs and reinstall the software. the result was the same.
I thought maybe there was something wrong with the cd but I found out that it was okay because it loaded and worked fine with my Vista.
What could be the problem? I checked the Directx diag (can't recall the diagnosis, but it has the diag on it.) or something using run, and everything was okay. Can someone help me with this? I really have to figure out how to make it work because I had just bought SIMS 2 for my daughter (from Santa). I'd appreciate all the help I can get. Thank you--goseattle
