GQ +r with Sony media code. Faked or real?

Got a 16x +R GQ DVD as part of an old time radio group distribution today that had Sony's D21 mid code. Does Sony make discs for GQ (Great Quality sold at Fry's) or is somebody faking it? Either way the disc seems to test ok with CD check although I'd never buy GQ DVD discs.....

Yes, they tend to be factory rejects or discs from batches that had some bad ones in, etc. General purpose burning they should do fine, though.
