FYI, the latest Nero6 update (6.6.1.15a) available since March 21st once again allows DVD Shrink to burn using Nero.

Thanks for that. What's the situation with regard to OEM versions? Mine is labelled NERO OEM 6.6.1.4 and doesn't allow autoburning with DVD Shrink - can it be updated? I've looked, obviously, on the Nero site, but can't seem to turn up the answer.
Apologies, though, if this is a stupid question...

@Coules
Yes you can update the oem version to the latest - you just need package 1. link
As long as you have Burning Rom in the oem version you'll be able to autoburn w/ Shrink.

I know this has really nothing to do with this thread but I have a problem I think someone here could help me with. I bought and installed as cd/dvd burner from Pioneer on my computer and it came with a Nero 7 Essentials disc to get me started. Problem is it won't install. It comes with a embedded key that it finds itself to register the product, yet it's telling me that the embedded key is incorrect. Please help!

Hello. Me again. I had problems with Nero and Shrink a few months ago. I never figured out what the cause was but one of the options was to just get a new computer. Well, that time has come.
My new PC has Windows Vista Home Premium and Roxio as a burner.
I really enjoyed the Decrypter/Shrink combo, as it was very easy to use and when it comes to certain programs, I need my hand held.
I was wondering, can I use the Decrypter/Shrink combo with Roxio using Vista? If there's already a link about this, please point me in that direction. Or, can I use Nero instead? IF so, which version? Is the version suggested in this thread compatible with Vista?
I haven't done anything yet so I figured I'd ask you experts first. Thanks in advance.

Hello again Beatles74
Yes you can still use DVD Shrink an Decrypter w/ Vista.
Nero will work too version 7.5.9.0 and above are Vista compatible and version 7.7.5.1 is Vista certified. The latest version is 7.10.1.0.
If you decide to you with Nero uninstall Roxio and run the zap tool.
Enjoy the new pc!

I figured out that Shrink/Decrypter works with Vista. So far so good, except sometimes some "invalid" and "error" type boxes pop up but I click "ok" or "ignore" and it finishes burning with no problem.
If I have any other problems, I know where to come for help. Thanks.

You can always post back the total error message and we should be able to sort that out for ya.
I'd add one more app to your arsenal - DVDFab HD Decrypter. It's a ripper like decrypter but it's still updated to handle the newer copy protections that Shrink or Decrypter can't.
