If the files are named, 'something.avi' and 'something.srt'

The remote has a 'Subtitles' or 'Display' button that should activate the subs.

To test, you can also play the disk in the PC with the media player and activate the subtitles.

i have already tried this mate, but i couldnt find any thing in my dvd that activates subs!

in windows media player it worked though

i just wanna know do i necessarily need to convert from avi format in order to get subs...because conversion takes some quality and also could be very large in size

anyways thanks attar :)

If you have a multi-format stand-alone player that support AVI movies, then you can burn them instantly without the need for conversion. What's the make and model of your DVD player?
