Ok, I just got my dvd writer and the software included was nero 7 essentials and I burned a disc and afterwards i flipped it over to lightscribe an image that i had. However when i clicked on the print lightscribe button it pops up with the window giving me an option to print it so i printed it using the best quaility and after clicked print a box came up saying preparing the cd for printing and it went through then it said 100 percent printed and spit my cd out but nothing was printing. Now does anyone know what im doing wrong why wont it print ive updated all my drivers too.

You need to use special CDs that are ment for lightscribing, any old CD just won't do. They need to have the lightscribing logo on it.

Be sure to use the Verbatim lightscribe discs!

Use Anydvd and believe

DVDFab HD Decrypter (free)... http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm

Hi joelw7

I have had exactly the same problem but managed to get it right.
Firstly what version of Nero 8 are you using? I had problems until I updated to version 8.1.1.4. then that problem you are having went away. Why I don't know, but I did a clean uninstall using Nero's General Clean Tool from their website and then loaded 8.1.1.4.
Was this only happening when you tried to print an image? I found that if I did a label using text only there was no problem, but as soon as used an image stretched over the whole disc then the problem came. 8.1.1.4 has sorted this out as well.

Another option which I can really recommend is download Lightscribes Template Labeller from their website.
http://www.lightscribe.com/downloadSecti...ex.aspx?id=1524
It is free from the Lightscibe website and is so user friendly I am not using Nero for my labels anymore. This really is a nice bit of software and is a good stand by if you cannot get Nero to work. The program allows full image print onto the disc.

Hope you come right.

Are you using version 1.10.23.1 of the Lightscribe software?
You should be getting the option to select 1 of 3 print qualities before you actually print. I alaways use "Best" - takes awhile but it is worth it.
Please give the Template Labeler a try as I recommended - you will not be sorry. Here you can also select the print quality.

Good luck

Yeah, that's right. Lightscribe Extended Label Contrast Utility is what I have for mine as well.

now are you able to print the lable in that program or does that just adjust the contrast for any program you use for printing the label or is there anything on the web that could give me a tutorial on it so that i can understand how that works.

It just adjusts the contrast to make all your labels darker. You still have to use the Lightscribe program to do the writing.
