I read some topics on media types and I am a bit confused now.

For burning PS2 games which dvd brand should I go for?

So far I heard Maxell, Sony, and Verbatim are the best.

Out of those three is their a better one than the rest or are they all generally all in the same quality range.

Also I have read in one topic that dvd+r 16x are the best and in a different topic dvd-4 16x are the best. Which should I go for, the +r or -r?

Thanks for your help.

you should def go with dvd-r, but if you have a dvd+r burner already you have to go with dvd+r discs. as for the burning speed you should burn 1-2x (4x does work but ive only did 4x if i was in a hurry for something)

The sticker over my dvd drive says +(over)- Writer. Does that mean I can burn both?

maxell is actually pretty close with sony but I always go with sony just because its the same company that made the ps2

here is a list of blank media quality guide, make sure you scroll down to find the fakes

*edit* maybe this should even be stickied as in to show the quality media, as well as aware ppl of the fakes

in the guide it said " It is the media ID that is important, as it reveals the disc manufacturer. Unfortunately, this is not written on packaging or anywhere else."
