Hi!

From what i understand, some PS2 games are written in DVD9 discs. So my questions are these:

1.) to burn DVD9 backups into my computer, should i have a DVD9-compatible dvd drive?

2.) to make DVD9 PS2 backups, should i have a DVD9-compatible dvd burner?

am i right that not all DVD burners can burn DVD9 right?

thanks

To rip dvd9 games to your pc, you don't need a dual layer burner, but it would be pointless as you need a burner that's capable of burning the ripped game to disc to do anything with the resulting iso file.

And yes, not all burners can burn dvd9/dual layer discs.

Also, you need a chip that supports burned copies of dual layer games to play them on your ps2, or you need to patch the ripped iso with the toxic dual layer patcher. Either that, or follow a tutorial on how to downsize the iso to fit on to a dvd5.
