I'm about ready to head off to dream town. But, we can get started with some questions to help diagnose your issue.
To begin, Is your system fully updated with service pack 1?
What kind of virus protection are you running?
What brand and model computer?
Besides the mouse, and keyboard; What else is hooked up to the PC, and how is it connected?
What have you done, so far, to try to fix it?
When did you first notice the problem, and what were you doing when it happened?
Are you receiving any error messages? If so, what are they exactly?
Have you ran any type of anti-virus scans on the system?

When you say crashes, do you mean reboots, or Windows freezes up? Describe the behavior?
Yes, Vista Service Pack 1, is available with over 100 fixes.
Have you gone to Windows update and took a look lately?
Do you get any usually beep codes?
Should be a green or red light on the MOBO, see if it's green.
Have you checked hardware monitoring in BIOS to make sure your fans are cooling properly and the CPU is not overheating?
Anyway, I'm shuting down now will be back in 8 hours. Think it over and see if you can provide any more information that would be helpful.

If I where you, I would reset everything back to there defaults speeds ( by that I mean the cpu and memory.) If you can't do that you need to check your cpu temp and make sure it's not running too hot. If you don't have a cpu/memory overheating problem check your video card next.

When you have the computer crashing all the time, it's usually going to be the cpu, memory or video card.

use this free utility to check your cpu temp
