Repeated 'illegal disc' errors

I know there are at least a couple other threads around concerning similar issues, but I can't seem to sort this one out after reading through those. I updated the firmware for my drive and also removed any MusicMatch EXE interference, but still no go. I've managed to burn a DVD on Nero Home, but can't get past 3-4% on Nero Express. The discs I have _I believe_ are TDKs, but I got them almost a year ago and they're unlabeled. At the moment though, I'm just blowing through discs trying different "fixes," so I don't want to try anything more until I get advice from someone more in the know. Anyhow, here's the log I got:

You say you are using TDKs (The discs I have _I believe_ are TDKs, but I got them almost a year ago ) and it's a Tayo Yuden disk and you are still getting Illegal disc error! Maybe your disks are fake TYs? I would use different media..... try Verbatim and real Taiyo Yuden disks. Try the +R media instead of the -R media.
And, of course, Nero 8 might still be buggy.
