best app for reducing dvd copy file size?

I'd like to reduce the size of my dvd movies so that I can put multiple movies on one dvd. What's the best app for doing this? The video file size that I've seen is 4.7 > 1.5. Which app reduces 4.7 down to 1.5? It looks like some kind of standard size, and the 1.5Gb is the size I'd like to reduce my 4.7s to.

Well, Ive never tried to make them such a small file size.
For a film, that realy is very small and will involve lots of compression. Have you thought about how poor the quality will be especially on anything resembling a normal TV screen size?

Agree with byngo. By the time you go through a compression of that magnitude it will have an adverse affect on the quality of the movie.

If you compress that much and don't mind watching your movies on an ipod, then go for it, otherwise it would be very prudent to heed the sagely advice given to you by 7thsinger and byngo. Merry Christmas.
