I want to downgrade my 3.72 Fat PSP to 1.5 using the Pandora's Battery method. I have an additional Fat PSP with FW:2.81 and a Memory Stick PRO Duo 1GB, I think I need to downgrade the 2.81 PSP to 1.5 in order to install a CFW which will then allow me to create a Pandora's Battery to put in the Fat PSP with the 3.72 FW. This will then downgrade the FW to 1.5 on the 3.72 Fat PSP. Can someone give me some advice on the questions asked please?

How do you downgrade the 2.81 to 1.5 fw and how to get CFW?
How do I install the CFW and is there any risk ?
What is Bricking and how do I prevent from doing it while downgrading and using Pandora's Battery?
In the Logical format do you type this 'format: 'psp drive letter'?
How do you install Pandora's Battery?

I would really appreciate it if someone helps me since I am unaware of how to start.

Thanks

You have 3 options.

1) Update your 2.81 to 3.03 and use a unpatched version of GTA Liberty City Stories to downgrade to 1.50 firmware. You can find the guide HERE. Follow the guide under the section of -2.81 - 3.03 Any Motherboard.

2) Update the 2.81 to 3.50 and use an unpatched copy of Lumines to downgrade to 1.50 firmware. You can find the guide HERE. Follow the guide under the section of -3.10 - 3.50 Any Motherboard

3) use a Pandora Battery + magic memory Stick. The easiest way to make 1 of these is with a custom firmware PSP. HERE is a guide you can follow if you get your hands on a custom firmware PSP.

OR use this guide HERE which you can use any PSP to create the Magic memory Stick but you will either have to buy a Datel Tool battery or Hardmod the battery to a Pandora battery. The guide explains more.

Well I was successful in downgrading the 2.81 FAT PSP to fw 1.5 :D. Now what is the best route to take to downgrade my 3.72 to 1.5 ? I am familiar with the Pandora's Battery procedure but not completely positive about doing it, can anyone give me assurance on this method?

What is the PSP's EEPROM and why do we make a backup of it?
Can Pandora's Battery result in Bricking?
What CFW would anyone reccommend on a 1.5 FAT PSP? (would be nice for a link to a few websites)
Once I have the Pandora's Battery from the PSP I just downgraded what exactly do I do to downgrade the 3.72 version?

Thanks a lot.

You need to back up the battery's EEPROM so you can flash its original serial number back. Using a fake serial number can supposively "not make the battery run right" (although I've had no trouble).

The custom firware I would pick would either be 3.52M33 or 3.40oe-a. And possibly 3.71M33. But you don't have to chose one of those. You can fingd those custom firmwares and many more here. Read the read-me to install. And if you have questions, feel free to post back here.

And as far as the routes to downgrading from 1.50. Pandora Battery is the only road to freedom.

If you delete your Eeprom by accident, is there any way to put the battery back to it's original state?

you can't just transfer them over. you have to recreate the magic memory stick on the smaller one.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Ok thanks, so I have the orignal pandora battery and Pandora fifiles are on my pc.......Is there anyway to recreate the files on smaller card given that my current PSP is running 2.71 official firmware?

Can I simply download the files from somewhere or do i need a 1.5 PSP?

Thanks again

cut to the chase, how big is your memory stick? big enough to fit all the required pandora's battery components on? (512 - 2gb cards)

PSP, Custom: Crystal Faceplate and UMD Door, Black Backplate
MotherBoard = TA-086 MB(25/12/2005)3.80 M33-5

My new memory card is 2gb, previous was 4gb, so I copied all the files for Pandora to a folder on my Pc thinking I could simply transfer them on to the 2gb.....but obviously I was wrong.

I now have a PSP that has not been Custom Firmwared, is running 2.71 official firmware....a pandora battery and the files on my pc that won't work when I transfer them to memory card...I get green light and black screen when I try to load Pandora menu.

Thanks for helping

Go HERE and follow the top part of the guide to make the Magic Memory Stick.

After you have made it place that in the PSP then place your already made Pandora battery into the PSP and the menu should come up letting you install 3.71 M33-2 to the PSP.
