I have a Dell Dimension 4400 and everytime I power the computer up, it just keeps rebooting. It goes to the Windows XP screen then shuts down and reboots over and over and over. Is it the hard drive? Power Supply? CPU? Not sure. Any ideas?

i believe its the hard drive. try manually booting it up, i think by pressing f12 or something. it opens the boot screen, then chose hard drive. if that doesnt work, i think you need to format it.

I will try that tonight. Is there anyway to save any files before formating? It wont even boot into safe mode. Thanks for the help!

You can also try going to one of the virus scan websites and downloading a scanner that you will allow you to boot. It could possibly be a virus. If your files mean that much to you then I would try this first.

i don't think it is the hard drive itself as i would lean towards bad ram or bad software.
