Hey there. I just downloaded a version of 30 Days of night which said axxo. It told me to download a codec from www.divocodec.com. DIVOCODEC is the program started to have the avi file to work. It first didn't work the avi file. So i downloaded that codec program. It didn't work and couldn't find it anywhere on my desktop after rebooting the comp. So i deleted the program and movie and unistalled the progran Divocodec. Now i keep getting addware from with before the url saying CiD: www.and url here. I searched online and have no luck. I am using ESET NO32 and is using XP. I'm also using Your Unistaller 2006 and i justed unistalled CiD help which i believe was one of mysterious programs that appeared. Please help. Need Divocodec gone!!!=(

Thanks in advance!!
Anthony

One source of CID popups is something called LOP.

Look in the various user?s documents and settings folders for folders with funny made up names like this.

C:\Documents and Settings\_(see note A)__\Application Data\Road That Funk Less

Note A: Look in this location for allusers and each specific user on the computer.

Rename or delete the files in the folders to prevent them from running. If you are unsure about deleting something, the safer way to deal with it is to rename it, say to .quar from .exe. You can then delete it later, or you can rename it back if necessary.

This is from another thread, check for these programs installed on your computer.
Click on Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs.
Uninstall/remove any of the following programs if listed:
Netpumper
Bitroll
Bitgrabber
CiD Help / CiD Manager
Download Plugin for Internet Explorer
Zone Media
This is because they are often bundled with the malware you are dealing with.
Don't worry if none of them are present.
If you happened to remove any of them please restart your pc.

Here is a link for a program called nolop:

http://www.spywareedge.net/nolop/NoLop.exe

Running that will remove any Lop scheduling jobs from the job task list.

Hope this helps.
