its taking about 5-6 mins just to start up and iam not sure if its too many programs on my taskbar (which i dont) or some sort of trojan or something monitoring my activities.

i have run avast, trend micro, ad-aware, ccleaner and ewido but nothing comes up. iam not sure if this helps but i have never used a program intended for finding root kits and it might be the problem.

as for my programs on the taskbar, i have: zone alarm, my printer, trend micro, a search application, win zip, avast, my graphics card's logo, my internet service provider's logo, picture package icon, and two different sound icons and a volume icon.

any suggestions? cheers
