God of War 2: Can't save game.

Hopefully this is the right place.
What I've got is old model ps2 V5 or 6, Matrix infinity, only 40gb Hard drive and HDloader 0.8b.
I've installed the game onto my HDD and it runs fine... until I try to save. When I click "yes" when trying to save the text fades a bit and then everything stops.
Any idea why is this happening?

Problem solved. I transferred the image to my HD with HDL dump gui 2.1 and now it works.
