Firstly I hope ive put this in the right place, i was going to put it in with Windows Software threads but decided to put it here instead.

Hi all,
I was wondering whether anyone could help me with this. I want top quality .aiff songs ripped from my cd's into itunes for playback on my computer. However I only want to encode the songs in .aac for my ipod because a) .aac is a much smaller file than .aiff and b) there is no point having .aiff encoded music on my ipod beuase I have bog standerd headphones.
I was wondering whether it was at all possible to set up itunes so that it converted all of my .aiff songs to .aac when syncing to my ipod so that I would end up with .aiff on my pc and .aac on my ipod. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance
