So here's my problem, I have a burnt game, retail SM3.6 which, together have worked fine for me for years. But now I downloaded Codebreaker 6.
1. I put in SM3.6, load Codebreaker 6
2. Put codes in and when it asks for the game disc, I put SM3.6 back in
3. At SM3.6 I put the game in as usual, using special boot (I've also tried regular boot to no success)
4. Put in Burnt Game-- PS2 recognizes it's burnt, as if SM3.6's bypass function was shut off and I'm back to step 0.
Does anyone know how to get a Codebreaker 6 or higher work with Swap Magic 3.6 or can spot some error in my process? Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

it's not going to work. CB6 cheats are temporarily stored on the ps2, and most likely it's interfering with SM bypass. or probably because you're using SM twice, that may be the problem.
only way to get cheats working is:
1. retail cheating device + retail game
or
2. modchip + burnt cheating device + burnt game
Alright, thanks. I was thinking I'd probably have to do that, but I'm really reluctant to buy a new cheat device for PS2 since the system's so old and not many games I like are still coming out for it.
