While trying to burn image from Imageburn I get an error that states:
I/O Error!
Device: [5:1:0] LITE-ON DVDRW LH-20A1HLL0C (F:) (ATA)
ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition
CDB: BF 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00 0C 00 00
Interpretation: Send DVD Structure - DVD+R DL Boundry Information
Sense Area: 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 73 03 00 00 00 00
Interpretation: Power Calibration Area Error
Retry Cancel
I recieved the same error while using DVD DEcrypter. Recently replaced the drive. Recently applied System restore. Please help.

Cappy66,
First off, check to see if there is an update to your burner firmware. Secondly, even with the error pop up, allow 30 seconds or more and then click on "Retry" to see if it'll commence with with the burn. It'll also help if you provide a copy of the log. To do so,
Open ImgBurn=>Click Help and then select ImgBurn logs=>Open the Txt Doc. The newest record should be the first one.

To add to pryme_H's good advice, i'd also add that if you're using DvdDecrypter it might be time to upgrade. As good a program as it was, it's no longer updated and therefore will have trouble with newer titles.
Get DvdFab Hd Decrypter (freeware) then use DvdShrink, then ImgBurn. You'll have better luck that way.
BTW, what title are you trying to back up?

Firmware installed was the most current according to LITE-ON. Tried the retry button many times, but each time came up with the original error. I fimally had to abort the program. The following is the error report:

Change over from fat 32 to NTSC filing system on your hard drive.To convert a volume to NTFS from the command prompt
1.
Open Command Prompt. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
2.
In the command prompt window, type: convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs Chris

---C drive is NTFS. It's the one I use for burning.Whats the next step.

Try firmware version HSOE from here ~ http://codeguys.rpc1.org/firmwares.html#SHM-165H6S
No need to change your file system on other drives if using the .MDS as it tells the burning program how to burn the image. Choose this file when burning DL discs as it also contains the layer break information.

Power Calibration errors are usually due to one of three things...
1. Cheap media, you are using a disc with RICOHJPN dye which can be iffy. I would suggest nothing but Verbatim for DL media.
2. Your burner isn't getting the power needed to execute the command, check your cables to see that they are seated properly from back of burner and PSU. In the worst cases your burner is dying and it's time for a new one.
3. Your PSU is bad, time for a new one.

whats bugging me here is why the NTSC drive mentioned that is being used doesnt show in the log file???
perhaps it doesnt? never noticed before...
