So my sound isn't working on my XP Pro, and i think it might be because the sound device is a PCI device...is that possible? As i look in "device manager" and it has a yellow exclamation on "other devices", which breaks down to to two other exclamated "PCI device" and "PCI simple communications controller". The only reason why i think it might not be the case is that under "Sound, Video, and Game controllers" it shows i have Legacy Audio Drivers and Codecs (which i have Realtek [not currently working], i'm not sure if thats the same thing) and it claims they are working properly. I installed the latest motherboard drivers from my manufacturer (Nvidia) and it didn't change ne thing. Does XP PRO support PCI devices?

Much help would be appreciated =)

the problems you have with your xp is because of your computer which only has vista drivers for it not xp.

realtek sound driver page. select windows 2000, windows xp/2003, either zip version or executable version.
