My CPU is 100% is worryingly 100% How i find out what program is causing this it pops up to 100% after a few hours on pc?

Once the CPU goes to 100% not sure where your seeing this, but I guess it's in system Tray? Here's the steps to take to temporarily remove the process from running: R/Click System Tray(area where clock is located)>Task Manager>Applications Tap>This will show wants running>Processes Tap>In the CPU column locate which process is using up all the CPU power. This will probably be a scanning tool of an antivirus, antispyware program, or something else. Once you locate it let me know the (Image name). And for now you can just end the process by r/clicking the power hungry item and selecting End Process.

This could be a virus there are some that pop up and act like the SVCHOST.exe but don't stop them they are a vital part of the OS, try running a virus scan

this is a good Virus and Mal-Ware scanner and you don't have to pay or have to download but it takes for ever

Which process is causing this? Look in taskmanager and post back with the name.

i thought the guy was asking if there is a program that pops up when the cpu goes to 100%. am i right or is he asking if there is a virus that makes pop ups at 100%?
