hmm im stuck
i downloaded a psp gme and the file is name for example.bin
is 001
wtf!!!

i read tat i should download fastloader v0.5
then read that3.XXm33 doesn't need it it can play them straight.

now can i convert the file or was it a complete and utter waste of time


and no i did not use a torrent why? because i dont know y i dont trust them

what now

the game that you downloaded can you explain better what file or files you have

if you have a bunch of rar files (r00, r01 ,r02...) you need to extract the iso
install winrar then in one of the files right click, extract files

if you already did that and you have a .bin file ,then is a psone game and you need to convert the bin file to eboot

uh well it says
metal.7z.001

then metal.7z.002

the fiole type is 001 and 002

thats exactly what my pc says

i extracted them from a rar file

just to show where i got them from

there arew two parts and both are 1 file a piece its a large amount of memory one is 284mb and 244mb

what to do now

you downloaded the game in two parts one with 284mb and the other with 244mb

put the 2 parts in the same folder and extract the iso

install winrar then in one of the files right click ,extract files

click with the right button of the mouse in one of the files and then choose the option extract files

if winrar doesn't work you will need another program called 7-zip

yeah yeah yeah

its the files that u find on a umd disk
but what filder do i put ISO FOLDER and the GAME

but i have 3.71m33-2 with the 1.50kernel addon

and i dont have a game folder in ISO only a video folder

do i have to make one?

and once i do that i hae to disabe my umd drive of something in recovery mode right

you need umdgen to generate a iso

start umdgen drag and drop the PSP_GAME folder and the UMD DATA .BIN file to where it says "no items to show " and save as a iso or cso (compressed iso)

DUDE I TRYED THAT AND I CANT FIND THE ISO IMAGE

VANT I JUST TAKE A UMD CD GAME I DONT LIKE DELETE EVERYTHING OFF OF IT AND PASTE THE DOWNLOADED GAME ON THE UMD

IT MAKES SENCE

you can't just rewrite a umd. the psp doesn't have the capability of writing to umd's, just reading.

after you generated a iso with umdgen what file did you get ??
check the extension of the file is it .iso??

if after you generated a iso with umdgen ,you have a file with a rar symbol it's because you have winrar associated with isos

start winrar click options-»settings-»integration and then untick the iso tab

sorry guys about the double post and the caps i was tired but thats no excuse.

and i didn't generate a iso
in fact i have no clue wtf im doing

i downloaded umdgen v2.0 ran it
and tried to find the iso as it asked me to
i searched all the files
and found nothing

all the game has is umd bin , ahuge file called psp_game
then a bunch of .pron images andsomeother files

and then all the mpeg's then the modules blah blah blah...


i cant find the iso as the umdgen v2.0 asked ne i have all the files
i think

i even read one of my own umds on my pc

it had the same files

well format that is

ya know

i extracted the files from the 7zip thing now what
how do i get a iso

you should use umdgen v 4.0
http://umdgen.ps3news.com/utilities.html

then start umdgen drag and drop the PSP_GAME folder and the UMD DATA .BIN file to where it says "no items to show " and save as a iso (click the save button on the top)

after you click the save button in umdgen you can choose the destination of the iso file
choose the folder that you want to save the file

i got another game and this time the game icon shows up and evne the music

i press x it loads then the memcard light shines for like 2 secs
then the screen goes black

my psp didn't crash cause i can still use yje home button whats wrong
