MP4 Player HELP!

I just got my MP4 player. Everytime I play a song, it plays about 10 seconds of it and goes to the next song. And sometimes, it will play 10 seconds of it and just stop. If anybody knows how to help, please help me! I will surely appreciate it. My brother has one just like me, just smaller memory and his doesn't do that. Please, help me!
