on utorrent, i keep getting either a red light ball, or an exclamation point. and it says something about how i cant connect because a firewall and i need to open my ports? how do i do that? i followed the instructions and filled out this thing from utorrent about opening ports, but i cant get it to work.

If you have a router, you have to open a port for utorrent to use. Find your router here, click on it, find utorrent, click on it and follow the directions: http://www.portforward.com/english/route...routerindex.htm If a firewall, you have to make utorrent an exception. Also with a router, a static ip may be necessary. You can choose the port to use for utorrent at options>preferences>connection. Use one over 10,000 that isn't the default.

There's a lot to wade through here but have a look: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=33652 Have you done a speed test and set your speed properly at options>preferences>speed guide>connection type? Remember that speed tests probably show in kb (bits) and utorrent uses kB (bytes), here is a good test site: http://www.speedtest.net/
