Yes, they are good...I use them all the time, but prefer the +R flavored discs.

I think most use DVD+R and booktype them if their equipment is capable.

Yup Yup !!!!- Though Both are Good ,Although I started out with DVD-R media ! I use both formats in most brands with about equal success ! The good thing about The DVD+R media though which you probably already know is the ability to booktype to DVD-Rom which gives you ultimate compatibility ! with All players ! most dvd players of recent vintage play either well ! But older players may have some compatibility issues on occasion! that's where DVD+R's & booktyping shine ! if it won't play a Booktyped DVD+R it probably won't play a Pressed DVD either which means time for a new Player !!!Good luck & Happy Burning in the New Year Everyone Ciao!!!!!!!!!1

that sounds great and am willing to switch over to DVD+R media but i am in doubt if my burner can booktype. i searched the forums and didnt find much about my burner using either nero or imgburn which is what i use. i have a Sony DVD RW DRU 710A___BYX5.
