internet connection droppping out??

i have a problem with my internet it is cable internet and the modem is a Motorola SB5101E surfboard, it does connect and i can use all internet and p2p programs but after about half and hour to an hour (didnt time it), it just stops working it says the net is still connected in system tray down the bottom but the net wont work at all, then all i do is dissable it and then reanable it and it works again for about same amount of time and its starting to really anoy me please someone help.
