hey guys i was wondering if i could use the Swap Magic DVD version to boot up CD-R games....i no longer have the CD version of Swap Magic

Yes you can.
Boot this using the dvd version then you should be able to load cd based games.

thanks alot man....another question, is there a way to bring down the size of a PS2 game so i could fit it on a CD-R?

Yes there is. It can be done by rebuilding the game, ripping out unnecessary files and bringing down the size to that of a cd-r.

Though there are two big downsides to this. One is that most games don't have enough stuff you can rip out of them and if you do manage to get a game onto cd, it will make your ps2's motor spin like crazy. As is the nature of all CD based games.

You need to burn the .iso image to a blank dvd+r or dvd-r (though I recommend dvd-r as people tend to have better results with those). Load up the DVD version of swap,
swap in dvdloaderv7,
load up cd-rom backup.

Edit: I highly recommend using Imgburn for burning as it is freeware and very reliable.
